Nukus-based NGO
From zero capacity to funded youth programme
Context
A regional NGO needed a competitive UNDP application without in-house grant writers.
Problem
The organization had strong community ties but no dedicated fundraising staff. Previous applications were informal and lacked logframes aligned with UNDP indicators.
What we did
We ran a donor-fit workshop, drafted a concept note, built the logframe and budget, and aligned the narrative with UNDP corporate results frameworks. Two revision cycles with the board.
Result
$18,000 awarded for a youth-focused community initiative within one submission cycle.
Lessons learned
- Start with indicator language from the call — retrofitting later costs time.
- Board sign-off is faster when budget lines map 1:1 to activity rows in the logframe.
Client voice
“We finally had a document that looked like what donors expect — not just our passion on paper.”
